Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes what Alfalfa County Released Inmates collects, how that information is used, and when a service provider or lawful authority may receive it. The policy covers visits to the site, use of its search tools, and messages sent to its operators. Outside search services and government pages apply their own policies once a visitor leaves this site. By continuing to use the site, a visitor accepts the practices described here.

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search

A name, location, or other term entered into a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider needs the query to return its results and handles the data under its own policy. Alfalfa County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.

Messages Sent to Us

When a visitor sends an email or other contact message, we keep the message and the reply information long enough to answer and manage the exchange. We do not share a message outside the organization unless doing so is required by law or a valid legal process.

Technical Visit Data

Ordinary web systems may record limited technical information when a page loads. This data helps the site work, measure traffic, and diagnose faults. It can include:

  • The visitor's Internet Protocol address.
  • The browser name and version.
  • The device category and operating system.
  • Pages viewed and the time spent on them.
  • The referring page or site, when supplied.
  • The date and time attached to the request.

Cookies

Cookies and similar browser storage may be used to understand how visitors move through the site and to support site features. A visitor can block or clear cookies through browser controls. Some functions, preferences, advertising, or measurements may then behave differently or stop working as expected.

How Information Is Used

Collected information is used for a limited set of operating purposes:

  • Keeping pages available, stable, and responsive.
  • Sending a search request to the partner that provides the selected tool.
  • Learning which release-record and facility pages visitors use.
  • Finding errors, misuse, and other technical problems.
  • Displaying advertising that may be selected by context or visitor interests.

These uses do not turn Alfalfa County Released Inmates into the custodian of sheriff, court, ODOC, parole, federal, or immigration records. The government agency that created a public record remains responsible for that record and its lawful disclosure.

Outside Websites and Services

Links can lead to the Alfalfa County Sheriff, the Court Clerk, ODOC, OK VINE, the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board, BOP, ICE, other government portals, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows an outside link, that service's privacy notice and data practices control. Alfalfa County Released Inmates does not operate those systems.

Official jail and court access is governed by Oklahoma law, including the Oklahoma Open Records Act at 51 O.S. §§ 24A.1 and following. That law addresses government records; it does not govern the separate tracking practices of an advertising or search company. Some advertising partners may collect activity across more than one website to select ads. That processing occurs on the partner's systems under the partner's terms.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may still reach a limited group when needed to operate the service or comply with law:

  • Search partners that process the query a visitor chooses to submit.
  • Analytics providers that measure site use and performance.
  • Advertising networks that deliver and measure ads.
  • Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.

Each provider receives only the information involved in its role. Its own policy controls how it retains, protects, and further uses information on its systems.

Security Has Practical Limits

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used to protect information handled by the site. No website, network, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed fully secure. We therefore cannot promise that data will never be intercepted, lost, misused, or accessed without permission.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.

Your Information Choices

Subject to applicable law and a verifiable request, a person may ask us to:

  • Provide a copy of personal data we hold about that person.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Delete information that is eligible for erasure.
  • Stop or opt out of certain processing where that choice applies.

These choices apply to information held by this private site. Requests about an Alfalfa County jail entry, Oklahoma court case, ODOC record, VINE registration, or another outside database must go to that record custodian or provider.

Changes to This Notice

This Privacy Notice may be revised as site practices, service providers, or legal duties change. A revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. The current notice is effective August 1, 2026.
